Veterinary Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our cats, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination on all cats less than 9 years of age, and twice yearly exams on older cats.

Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best.

Cat in Boarding

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Behavioral Counseling:  We do behavior counseling exams to address urine and stool marking, scratching, inter cat aggression, redirected aggression, and other behavior problems.  If necessary, after consulting with Dr. Curtis, we will set up a housecall with Dr. Terry Curtis DVM,  DACVB to further address your household's problems and solutions.  She works through the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

BoardingBrick City Cat Hospital in Ocala, FL offers boarding for our current patients. Kitties must be current on their rabies and FVRCP vaccinations for boarding, and have current flea prevention.

Cardiac Services:  We provide ECG services on-site - either as pre-operative, STAT or standard with Dr. Katrina Tosach.

Declawing: Brick City Cat Hospital has made the decision to discontinue the practice of declawing as a surgical elective procedure. Please click here to learn more!
